I came across this great website where you can download the cycle route from London to Rome and Brindisi (EV 5) - part of EuroVelo.

What a delightful idea. Walking being a most favored pastime, this has purpose, learning and pleasure written all over it. Newoztrip.blogspot.com is my walking, train, bus trip with no ther agenda than to lok.
